• Beehive is a non-profit charitable organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors
• Beehive is licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services under the Day Nurseries Act
• License is renewed annually
• Programs for toddlers, preschool and school aged children
• Programs are run by trained Early Childhood Educators
• Beehive is a fun, involving and nurturing environment that emphasizes knowledge, cooperation and sharing
• All meals follow the Canada Food Guide
• Subsidies - Northumberland County Social Services may help you with financial assistance. Ask us for details or call 1-800-354-7051 Ext 2456
• Hot lunches are prepared for children as well as nutritious morning and afternoon snacks, home cooked on premesis
• Toddlers (15 months-30 months) Staff Ratio 1:5, group size 10 spaces
• Preschool (30 months-5yrs) Staff Ratio 1:8, group size 24 spaces
• Kindergarten (3.8 yrs - 5yrs) Staff Ratio 1:8, group size 8 spaces
• School Age (6ys-12 yrs) Staff Ratio 1:15, group size 14 spaces
• Full daycare available on School P.A. days, March break and Summer Holidays
• Supervised outings during the summer months
• Families with special needs are welcome. We offer inclusion to the best of our ability
• Daily schedules also allow time for free play, bathroom routines, outside play and rest time
