- Pop. 14,030. Part of the City of Burlington, Reg. Mun. of Halton, on Hwy 403 just N of Hamilton.
- Settled in 1783 by David Fonger and known as Brown's Wharf after a landing built by a Col. Brown in the 1840s.
- The Post office opened in 1856 under the name Aldershott, after the borough of Aldershot in Hampshire, England, and in 1886 was changed to Aldershot.
