- Pop. 62. In Oxford-on-Rideau T., United Cs. of Leeds & Grenville on Kernptville Cr. and C. Rd. 18, 25 km NW of Prescott.
- Chauncey and Ira Bishop settled here after the War of 1812 and built mills on what was then the South Branch of the Rideau River.
- The name Bishop's Mills was perpetuated when the post office opened in 1853 with H. A. Bishop as postmaster.
