- Pop. 11,353. Part of the Town ofCaledon, Reg. Mun. of Peel, on the Humber R. and C. Rds. 9, 11 & 50, 35 km. NE of Brampton.
- Settled in 1824 by James Bolton and his nephew George Bolton, who built the village's fIrst mill, giving the place its fIrst name of Bolton Mills.
- The first post office, in 1832, was named Albion for the township, but in 1892 the name was changed to Bolton.
