- Pop. 746. In West Gwillimbury T., Simcoe C., at C. Rds. 27 & 88, 10 km. SW of Bradford.
- The community was named by postmaster Joel Flesher Robinson in 1837 in honour of Sir Francis Bond Head, lieutenant-governor of Upper Canada 1836-1838.
- In 1851 a plank road was built to Bond Head from Bradford and one of Ontario's fIrst grammar schools opened here.
- The community was the birthplace of Sir William Osler (1849-1919), a famous physician and author, and Sir William Mulock (1843-1944).
