- Pop.19. In Henvey & Wallbridge Twps., Parry Sound Dist. on the N shore of Byng Inlet off Georgian Bay off Lake Huron at the end of C. Rd. 526, 4 km SW of Hwy 69,61 km NW of Owen Sound.
- The place was known as Byng Inlet North from 1885-1913 and the CPR station was called Dunlop. The post office opened in 1927 named after Thomas Britt, head of the CPR's fuelling depot in Montreal.
