- Pop. 15,290. Part of the City ofMississauga, Reg. Mun. of Peel, on L. Ontario and the QEW, 26 km. SW of Toronto.
- The first settlers were Thomas Marigold and Benjamin Monger, who arrived in 1808. Warren Clarkson and his brother Joshua later lived with the Mongers, and in 1819 Warren bought land and built a large house. In 1835 he built a store.
- In the 1850s he sold the right-of-way to the Great Western Railway, which named the station Clarkson's. The post office opened in 1875 with William Clarkson as postmaster and until 1919 all the postmasters were Clarksons.
