- Pop. 282. In Raleigh T., Kent C., on L. Erie and Hwy 3,23 km. SE of Chatham.
- The post office opened in 1831 as Erieus, a clerical error since the name was supposed to have been Erieus after L. Erie.
- The error was corrected the next year, but then the post office closed for a time. When it reopened in 1875 it was given the name Ouvry.
- Residents petitioned to have the name Erieus restored but officials responded by naming the post office Dealtown, after Deal in England.
