- Pop. 90. In Eramosa T., Wellington C. on C. Rds. 29 & 124, 9 km. NE of Guelph.
- The place was first called Crewsons Comers before it took its name from the township.
- There are two explanations offered for the origin ofthe township's name: a settler's wife disliked many of the names being given to town¬ships, or the name derived from the Mississauga word 'um-ne-mo-sah,' meaning 'dead dog.'
