- Ontario's Rhubarb Capital-Home of the Rosy Rhubarb Festival!
- Pop. 313. In Southwold T., Elgin c., on C. Rds. 3 & 20, 15 km SW of St. Thomas. The place was first called Wilkie's Corners after settler James Wilkie.
- When the post office opened in 1875 it was named Corseley.
- In 1883 the name changed to Shedden after John Shedden, a local stock grower and president of the Toronto and Nipissing RR, accidentally killed while boarding a train near Lindsay.
