- Pop. 561. In Reg. Mun. of Ottawa-Carleton, on C. Rd. 31, 18 km. SE of Ottawa.
- Settled in 1850 by Adam and Sam Rossiter and first known as Rossiter's Corners.
- The post office was established in 1885 as Greeley, after Gen. Adolphus Washington Greely, an Arctic explorer in the 1880s. In 1903 the spelling was corrected to Greely.
