- Pop. 4,322. In Tecumseth T., Simcoe C., on C. Rd. 10,48 km SW of Barrie. John Tegart, who arrived in 1823, was the first settler.
- Two years later Alexander Totten arrived and built a store. The post office was established in 1858 as Tottenham, and Alexander Totten was the first postmaster.
- Tottenham is also a district of London, England.
