- Pop. 35. In Lochiel T., United Cs. of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry on the Rigaud R. and C. Rds. 24 & 34, 25 km SW of Hawkesbury.
- In 1862 the place was called Kenyon and when the post office opened, it was named Laggan Post Office. By 1875 the name was shortened to Laggan. The name's origin is unknown.
