- Pop. 294. In South Dorchester T., Elgin C., on Clear Creek and Hwy 73 and C. Rd. 48, 8 km. N of Aylmer.
- The settlement was first called Hale's Corners after William Hale who had established an inn at the site. In 1862 the name was changed to Lyons, likely after the French city, but the origin of the name has not been recorded.
