- Pop. 267. In Puslinch T., Wellington C., at Hwy 6 and C. Rd. 36,1 km. S ofHwy 401,16 km. SE of Guelph.
- In 1847 Mr. R. B. Morriston opened a store in one end of his blacksmith shop and two years later built a frame store on the east side of the road. Shortly after the opening his new store, the community that had been called Puslinch, after the township,
- Puslinch was named in 1835 after the birthplace in Devon, England, of Elizabeth Yonge, wife of Sir John Colborne, Lt.-Gov. of Upper Canada 1828-1836.
