- Pop. 329. In Kaladar T., Lennox and Addington Cs., on Beaver Cr. and Hwy 41, 62 km. NW of Napanee.
- The place was first called Flint's Mills and the post office opened in 1856 as Flint.
- Billa Flint was a senator and prosperous Belleville merchant who owned large tracts of timber in Kaladar T. The following year the name was changed to Kaladar, after the township.
- In 1890 the community was renamed Northbrook, possibly after Thomas George, Earl of Northbrook.
