- Pop. 100. In Renfrew C. on the Ottawa R. and Hwy 17, 6 km NW of Deep River. This community was named in 1853, but the origin of the name has not been recorded.
- The place may have been named for explorer Alexander Henry (1739-1824); his nephew, Alexander Henry; or Alexander Shirreff who explored large areas of Ontario in the first half of the nineteenth century.
