- Pop. 51. In Bruce C. on the Teeswater R. and Hwy 9, 3 km. W of C. Rds. 4 & 20, 27 km. SE of Kincardine.
- . In 1854 the first postmaster George Cromar, named the community because of its river.
- The river then was called Mud River. In 1852 a surveyor renamed it the Teeswater River after England's River Tees which forms the boundary between Yorkshire and County Durham.
