  • Pop. 1,550. In lnnisfil T., Simcoe C., on the W side of L Simcoe, 12 km. SE of Barrie.
  • The site was historically a favourite camping ground of First Nations Peoples. Summer cottages were built in the area in the 1890s. A post office was established as Sandy Cove in 1966.
