- Pop. 4. In Hutchinson T., Rainy River Dist. on Sapawe L. and Hwy 623,5 km N ofHwy 11, 149 km. NW of Thunder Bay.
- First known as Iron Spur, the name was changed when the post office opened in 1943. The name derives from the Ojibwa 'sabawi,' meaning drowned, because a young squaw drowned there.
