- Pop. 525. In Oso T., Frontenac C., on Sharbot L. and C. Rd. 38,4 km S ofHwy 7, 72 km N of Kingston.
- The lake and community take their names from the Sharbot family, which was farming in the area in the 1870s.
- The post office was established in 1877. A roadside picnic area built beside Hwy 7 in 1932, has become Sharbot Lake Provincial Park.
