- Pop. 169. In Kitley T., Leeds and Grenville Cs. on C. Rds. 8 & 29, 25 km. NW of Brockville.
- The place was first called Koyl's Bridge after settler Ephraim Koyl.
- Kitley post office opened in 1832 , named after the T. The following year Wyatt Chamberlain from Unadilla NY came to build a store and the place was known as Chamberlain's Corners.
- In 1856 the community was renamed Toledo after the city in Ohio or the city in Spain.
