Description From Owner:
- Graduate of the Ontario College of Art in 1997, Bill spent many years developing his 'on location' style of landscape painting. Originator of the Rainbow Press Publications.
- Exhibitions: Bill has recently shown at the prestigious Thompson Gallery in Toronto and his work is represented in private and corporate collections.
- In his approach, Bill is dedicated to 'On Location' painting in the tradition of Canada's Group of Seven painters.
- Inspired by the natural beauty of the Canadian landscape and working in a manner similar to that of the group, Bill has developed a style uniquely his own.
- Artist's Statement: It is my personal art philosophy that, more important than 'high realism' are the underlying abstract elements of shape, colour and value.
- Art being a thing of the imagination, requires a direct and intuitive response to the beauty of our surrounding environment...a record of time, place and mood. In my work, I hope to achieve this.
