Warkworth Bakery, Warkworth

The new vibe at the former location of Cara Mia is all-around better: better prices, better eats, a nice and ever-improving patio space, and a welcoming and fun staff. Great ice cream, great cookies, and a rotating variety of baked goods (all of which are delicious - DO NOT take a pass on the homemade tarts or the savoury rolls, and the lasagna is apparently to die for because my brother doesn't eat anything else). There are also gourmet items you can't find anywhere else. I also recommend subscribing to their newsletter, it's fun and cute - but also because you won't miss out on whatever tasty thing they're cooked up for the week. If you're in Warkworth for a festival, they will almost undoubtedly be doing peameal bacon sandwiches, which really are the best thing (at the best price) you can get in town (waaaaaay better than a hot dog). Don't pass this place up if you're passing through! As a local, I buy all my bread there, and it all freezes marvellously. I really can't say enough good things about this place! I'm so glad we have it in Warkworth.

‘Sper Food & Farm, Warkworth

We ate here on Friday night. Service and food impeccable as was the wine and fermented beverages from Tina. Chef is a madman in the best possible ways and meshed foraging with his passion of farming and caring for livestock with a support of select local producers supplementing the few things he doesn't make or raise himself (such as Bison). From bread to foraged dips, a wild mushroom soup and a beautiful meat and veggie course this intimate dinner was a hit with our friends and company in the restaurant. Thank you!

Wow!!!! Friendly staff, stunning atmosphere, very relaxing yet upbeat. This place is a must visit!!! The meat & cheese 1/2 platter was a huge portion for a starter that my husband & shared but didnt finish & the one pot meat & veggies were so yummy. I cant wait for another date night. Did I mention the antiques??? I wanted to buy it all. What a perfect night out.

I ventured into The Natural yesterday afternoon, and it did not disappoint. I never expected such a great variety, particularly of vegan and natural health products. I was so pleasantly surprised by this store. Steve was incredibly welcoming, helpful and offered a wealth of knowledge - especially in regards to coffee! I will be back often.

We always thought it was named for the settler, John Fletcher.
