Springbrook Diner, Springbrook

Visited for lunch Thursday to celebrate a family birthday. The special was a Tail-Gator - choice of sausage on a ciabatta roll, topped with grilled peppers and onions, with choice of side. The sausage choices were Muskoka (an Octoberfest type), Chipotle and Feta, and Honey Garlic, and we discovered that ALL sausage served at the Springbrook Diner is home-made on the premises!! Both men in our party chose the Chipotle and Feta, served with coleslaw and fries with gravy, and both pronounced it excellent! The birthday girl had pulled pork on a bun, with fries and I had a club sandwich with garden salad, and we were both very satisfied with these choices, as well. Only very small criticism might be the strength of the coffee, but I prefer a strong, dark roast coffee which admittedly is not everyone's choice. All in all a great lunch at a reasonable price and the plus of home-made sausage with no fillers was a lovely surprise!

Wylie, Deep River

My little Mom was born in Wylie Ontario in 1904 I picked up her birth certificate while driving by Deep River at the Catholic Church. I am using google for a review on Wylie. My Mom's maiden name was Albina Nadeau. I noticed the name Wylie was on the CPR line phone and telegraph pole.

Stirling Heritage Wines, Stirling

Since August of 2016 I have made 4 batches of wine here. Not only is the product they make of amazing quality, but the owners and operators are even greater. They treat you like one of the family, always have a smile on their face and will laugh and talk with as if you are at a table enjoying a glass of wine. They are filled with knowledge and this is the first place I have ever been able to figure out and suggest a wine that is a perfect fit for me. Although I'll be moving over 40 minutes away, I will always be coming here for my wine!

We always get wonderful trustworthy service here. They are always willing to help in a time restraint. We love their arrangements. We've used them for our wedding, numerous funerals, as well as special occasions, and they never disappoint.

Moore Orchards, Cobourg

David Wiseman on 06-Jun-19
Classic Ontario apple orchard. Easy to find just off old Highway 2. The apples were plentiful especially my favourite, Empire. $9 for several lbs of apples that you can pick in 10-15 minutes. Also picked up a litre of Apple Cider for $4 and 'Gramma's' sweet pickles $7.
