Driving Directions:

• An easy 1.5 hrs drive from Toronto and 1 hr. west of Kingston. From 401 take exit 509 south on Hwy 30 to Brighton. At the second set of lights in Brighton, turn right onto Park St. The Gables Restaurant is at the end of Park St.

Season Details:

• Open year round. CLOSE SUNDAY & MONDAY. LUNCH > Tuesday - Friday. DINNER > Tuesday - Saturday. Reservations recommended.

Description From Owner:

• Chef Dieter received his formal training in a 5 star house 'The Atlantic' in Hamburg, Germany and, as is the custom, perfected his skills in several different culinary styles and locations throughout Europe as well as in Canada.
• He has practised his art in such diverse restaurants as the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, the Hotel de la Plage on Jersey Island, the cruise ship Vista Fjord and as Executive Chef, the Sherwood Inn in Muskoka.
• The Gables is part of one of the more historically interesting buildings in Brighton. Built in 1872.
• The most popular table in the restaurant basks in sunlight provided by a beautiful bay window.
• The Gables is listed in the National Restaurant Guide 'Where to Eat in Canada'.
