Great Store! Used to visit in Warkworth but never knew they moved to Hastings! This is a really nice store inside; weather you need a gift for that someone or you need just something for yourself…you can find something here. (Lots to look at) Lots of local stuff; books, clothes, cards, cool fish vases! Staff are so nice! She recommended a knife for a male friend.(he is in construction and big camper) Beautiful knife from France. I later Googled it; he got a really nice knife!! Go say hi…you won’t leave without something

I can't think of a more interesting and eclectic place to visit. Stepping inside of The General on Mill Pond in Hastings Ontario, is like stepping back in time. This is like going into a General store from years gone by. The environment is lovely and the merchandise is no less impressive. You will find in this store things you never imagined. My first impression is that of entering a family home business. I seriously invite you to make a point to visit any time you are in Hastings. Please check their schedule before dropping by.
