  • The cottages face the rapids and are close enough for you to hear the tranquil sounds of bubbling water as it cascades downstream over the smooth boulders.
  • Both our cottages, “The Mallard” and “The Wood Duck” offer the same amenities and are located next to one another, just in case you want to book a side by side weekend with family or friends.

A Hidden Gem in Nature’s Embrace – 10/10! Haid’s Hideaway Family Campground is exactly what its name promises—a true hideaway, tucked within the heart of nature, where time slows down and the spirit breathes easy. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth, both from the friendly staff and the peaceful energy of the grounds. Towering trees, whispering leaves, and the sweet scent of campfires instantly made us feel at home. Each campsite is thoughtfully laid out, offering a perfect balance of privacy and community. Whether you’re a tent-dweller or pulling up in a trailer, the space is clean, well-maintained, and clearly loved. What truly sets Haid’s Hideaway apart is the family-first vibe. It’s a place where kids can roam free, laughter echoes through the trees, and every sunset feels like a shared moment. The activities were a hit—fun for all ages without ever feeling forced. And when the stars came out? Absolute magic. Crystal-clear skies made for unforgettable stargazing. Bonus points for the hidden details: charming signage, the crackle of nightly campfires, and the cozy communal spirit that reminds you what camping is truly about—connection, peace, and joy. Whether you're seeking adventure or simply need to unplug and recharge, Haid’s Hideaway is a 10/10 sanctuary. Already counting down the days until our return.
