After 10 years, and having 135 Woofers assisting us on our farm, we are proud to announce that we have opened up a Bed & Breakfast.
We thank all our many Woofers who put so much effort into gardening, planting, pruning shrubs, cutting down trees & scrub brush,
splitting and stacking firewood, tearing up flooring and installing new flooring, installing doors, trim and electronic door locks, painting, cleaning and organizing.
Agritourism bed & breakfasts are quite unique and a relatively new phenomenon in Canada, but are quite popular in Europe.

Thistledown Farm is the perfect escape from the city rush! The Hitchman family are the most incredible, warm hosts who make you feel like part of the family immediately. The unique, themed rooms reflect different parts of the farm and are so cozy—I had such a restful night’s sleep there. But the absolute highlight is Sandra’s cooking; she is a wizard in the kitchen, constantly whipping up incredible new dishes from all over the world. It’s the ultimate place to unplug, relax, and eat like royalty. I'll definitely be back!
