Hello ! I read about the 18yr old boys who were caught smoking pot in the Marmora park and arrested ( Intell Jul 09) - good bust! With the criminal records they’ll likely have as a result, they won’t even be able to serve coffee at Tim Hortons. Two more lives bulldozed and rubber stamped for violating an archaic, stupid and culturally retarded law enforced by zealots who seem to have forgotten some of the things they did in high school for fun. My heart goes out to these young men. Life is over before it has started for stuff that grows in the ditch and makes you giggle for 10 minutes. Millions of similar stories cry out from oblivion since prohibition. A massive waste of Canadians that still somehow comes out smelling righteous. Releasing their names to the media was an especially vindictive, punitive action- that'll teach em! In Marmora, everyone will know and shun 'those druggies'. After all, weed= heroin. The community is safer? These young men will have no choice but to turn to the black market for a living. The officers involved had a choice to be human, instead, they were robots. Sad. I can only hope for Karma. All this arrest did was create two more unemployable, bitter men in a town that is half way to nothingness already. Peter Geitner Belleville
