- Pop. 50. In Adolphustown T., Prince Edward C., on Adolphustown Reach, a fiord-like bay off L. Ontario and Hwy 33 & C. Rd. 8, 13 km. NE Picton.
- The place was first known as Hollandville.
- Later took its name from the Township which was named in 1784 for Prince Adolphus Frederick, Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Tipperary and Baron of Culloden (1774-1850), the seventh son of George III and great-grandfather of Queen Mary.
