Pop. 13. In Amyot T., Sudbury Dist. on the E. shore of Negwazu L. and a branch line of the Algoma Central Railroad, 60 km. NW of Wawa.
Amyot took its name from the T. in which it was located. The T. was named for Lt.-Col. Amyot of the Montreal Light Infantry who passed through this area in 1885 en route to help quell the Riel Rebellion.
