Pop. 600. In Thunder Bay Dist. on Hwy 527,242 kIn N of Thunder Bay, 26 km. NW of L. Nipigon.
The community started as a divisional point on the CNR in the early 1900s. It was named for either Hector Armstrong, a British railroad financier of the late 1800s, or William Armstrong, a Thunder Bay area landowner.
