  • Pop. 257. In Wellesley T., Reg. Mun. of Waterloo, on a tributary of the Nith R. at the junction of C. Rds. 10 and 14, 16 km NW of Kitchener-Waterloo.
  • The early settlers were of German origin and fIrst named the community Weimar after a town in Germany. When the post office opened in 1852, post¬master Ferdinand Walter changed the name to Bamberg, after a town in Bavaria.
