Pop. 15. In Finch T., United Cs. of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry on the Payne R. and C. Rds. 9 & 12, 39 km. NW of Cornwall.
First known as Cockburn's Corners after settlers Adam and Peter Cockburn, the place was called Finch after the T., when the post office opened in 1842.
In 1858 the community was renamed after Berwickshire, Scotland where the Cockburn brothers had been born.
