Pop. 62. In Oxford-on-Rideau T., United Cs. of Leeds & Grenville on Kernptville Cr. and C. Rd. 18, 25 km NW of Prescott.
Chauncey and Ira Bishop settled here after the War of 1812 and built mills on what was then the South Branch of the Rideau River.
The name Bishop's Mills was perpetuated when the post office opened in 1853 with H. A. Bishop as postmaster.
