- Pop. 71. In Eldon T., Victoria C., on the Talbot R. and C. Rds. 46 & 48, 40 km NW of Lindsay.
- The settlement was founded in 1850 by Duncan McRae, a minister of the provincial parliament. McRae built several mills and named the place Onnacome.
- When the post office was established in 1864 the community was named Bolsover, likely after a place in Derbyshire, England.
