- Pop. 5,282. Town in Bosanquet T., Lambton C., 35 km. NE ofSarnia, created by Regional Government in 1995.
- In 1826 the Crown sold one million acres, including the T. of Bosanquet, to the Canada Company. Mahlon Burwell surveyed the T., and laid out the Indian reserves of Kettle Point and Stoney Point.
- The township was named in 1830 for Charles Bosanquet, first governor of the Canada Company.
