- Pop. 61. In Renfrew C. on C. Rds. 66 & 512, 22 km E of Barry's Bay.
- The community was established in 1857 and first known as Brud¬enell's Comers because it was at an intersection on the Opeonga Rd.
- It was named after James Thomas Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan (1797-1868), leader of the famous Charge of the Light Brigade of 1854 at Balaklava in the Crimea. The name was shortened when the post office opened in 1859.
