Description From Owner:

Pop. 202. In Ellice and Mornington Ts., Perth C. on C. Rds. 119 & 131, 16 km N of Stratford.
Pioneer Jacob Brunner built the first sawmill and in 1867 became the first postmaster, naming the community after himself.
When the CNR started bringing the mail in 1877, the post office was moved closer to the railway depot and for a time there were two communities, named Old Brunner and New Brunner.
