- Pop. 181. In Fenelon T., Victoria C.on C. Rds. 9 & 18,12 km NW of Lindsay.
- The village was named in 1853 by the fIrst postmaster, Joseph Wilkinson after Cambrai in France, home of Archbishop Francois de Fenelon, after whom Wilkinson believed Fenelon T. had been named.
- The township had actually been named after the archbishop's half-brother, Franyois de Salignac de La Mothe¬Fenelon, who had founded a mission on the Bay of Quinte in the 1660s.
