Pop. 450. In Clarence T., Prescott and Russell Cs. on C. Rd. 2, 37 km E of Ottawa.
The first settler was A. Hagar, but the community is named for Samuel T. Cheney who built a sawmill and store and ran the post office which was established in 1900.
