- Pop. 315. In Lobo T., Middlesex C., on the Sydenham R. and C. Rd. 16, 16 km W of London.
- The pioneers in this area were mainly Quakers, who began arriving in 1834. Benjamin Cutler built a mill in 1837, and for a time the settlement was called Cutler's.
- Cutler and John Marsh donated land for the first Meeting House and Quaker Burying Ground in 1850, and by 1859 the Society Friends had outgrown that small log house and built a larger brick building.
- A Literary society called Olio was started in 1875 and was active for 25 years, tbunding the Coldstream library.
- The post office was estabhshed m 1856 and the community may have been named after a place in Berwickshire, Scotland.
