Pop. 2,325. In West Carleton T., Reg. Mun. of Ottawa, on the Ottawa R., 2 km NE of C. Rd. 9,42 km NW of Ottawa.
The first record of the place is on a sketch of the Ottawa R. from 1832 on which it was named Constantine after a First Nations Peoples chief.
The place was also called Sand Bay and Constance Pond. The name may also honour the daughter of early settler Hamnet Pinhey.
