- Pop. 7,500. In Moore T., Lambton C., on the St. Clair R. opposite Stag I. and on the St. Clair Parkway, 9 km. S ofSarnia.
- Corunna was surveyed in 1823 as a possible site for the capital of Upper Canada, but was considered unsafe because of its proximity to the United States. John Farquharson was among the first to settle in 1836.
- The post office opened in 1852 as Corunna, named after the Battle afCorunna in Spain in 1809, where Sir John Moore's victory marked the turning point of Napoleon's power.
