- Pop. 1,046. In Moore T., Lambton C., on the St. Clair R. and the St. Clair Parkway at C. Rd. 80, 19 km. S of Sarnia.
- Courtright was linked by ferry with St. Clair, MI until 1964 when the U.S. Government declined to continue providing immigration officers. Land on the townsite was being farmed before 1800.
- The community was first called Sutherland's for an early settler who arrived in 1832. The post office opened in 1874, and the place was named Courtright for Milton Courtright, president ofthe Canada Southern Railway.
- Courtright was the western terminus of the rail line from St. Thomas.
