Description From Owner:
- Pop. 555. In Finch T., Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry Cs., on the South Nation R. and C. Rds. 12 & 13, 50 km. SE of Ottawa.
- Among the early settlers, in 1802, were the McMillan and Cameron families. The village is named for John Crysler, a United Empire Loyalist and member of the legislative assembly of Upper Canada 1808-1824.
- Crysler owned the townsite and a farm on the St. Lawrence R. where the Battle of Crysler's Farm was fought in 1813.
