- Pop. 1,595. In Proton T., Grey C., on C. Rd. 9, 2 km SW ofHwy 10, 67 km SE of Owen Sound.
- The village was settled in the mid-1800s and first known as McDowell's Corners after an early settler.
- Later it was called May's Comers after James May who had built a large hotel. When the post office opened in 1874, the community was named Dundalk after a place in County Louth, Ireland.
