- Pop. 370. In West Carleton T., Reg. Mun. of Ottawa-Carleton on C. Rd. 9,32 km. W of Ottawa.
- John Younghusband was the first settler, arriving in 1828. His son Henry bought a parcel of crown land and opened a store. In 1864 the post office was established as Torboiton, and Henry Younghusband became the first postmaster.
- In 1868 the name of the post office was changed to Dunrobin after Dunrobin Castle in Sutherlandshire, the Scottish birthplace of Henry's mother.
