Pop. 57. In North Sherbrooke T. and Dalhousie T., Lanark C. on C. Rds. 12 & 36, 32 km. W of Perth.
The place was first called Mann's Corners after James Mann who opened a store.
In 1861 it was named after British Admiral Lord George Keith Elphinstone (1746-1823) who rendered distinguished service during the Napoleonic War.
